The fall he took was very bad and he has a hip fracture and underwent surgery in Cleveland yesterday. His phone number at the hospital is (216) 957 71 39 but his is not at his room now. You can call after 17.00 (time in Cleveland).

What a shame and bummer ending after a week of fun. I will try to call later this evening but if anyone calls before me, please post here.

Prayers for a speedy recovery are in order.

Ouch. Bad news.
I hope and pray that he recovers well!

I have alerted, via PM channels, Xavier (a buddy to P.) and asked him to mobilize the French ASLer community to see if they can help with ride home when Philippe gets there, or checking on his house, and the like.
Thanks. I forwarded Xavier Philippe's wife's email address. I can't imagine how upset she must be.

Thanks for posting this Ray. Was unaware that Philippe was injured, and seriously at that.

Helen and I wish him a full recovery, and a safe trip home.

Let me add my signature to this virtual get well card. Who knew Level C booby traps were in effect at ASLOK?
Rest easy, Philippe!

First, as one of the many Philippe's to hang on the French ASL forum, I want to remind you how it's spelled: single "L", double "P"s at the end, final (and unpronounced) "E". Don't worry, many French speakers get it just as wrong...

And of course, I want to add my best wishes for Philippe's recovery. He's one of the pillars of the ASL community, and a very nice guy to boot. Reviens-nous vite Philippe, la DM a besoin de toi!
