Hi,
I just played a scenario with 11 turns, and the Phase marker indicated Turn 1 when I clicked Next Phase after the last CCPh of the second player's Turn 10.
Not a dramatical issue, but perhaps could it be possible to have the marker go up to 99 turns? Or, more practically, to 29?

I concur, not a terrible problem, especially since it at least goes up to 10, but 40 turns would be nice.

Turn 40 would be good. There is a Canadian two part scenario (U37-U38) in Rivers to the Reich that goes 34 turn.

<Scheldt Fortress South and Clearing the Breskens Pocket, respectively>

Should the "phase tracker" even track turns?

I cannot see any relation between the phase tracker and the turn. Are you speaking of the turn number in the Info box?

When the phase marker progresses from CCPh to RPh, at the end of the second player's turn, the next turn is indicated in the chat window.
It reverts to 1 when you go further than turn 10.

Use 4 turn markers.....discard or black them out as they are used.

Only for LOGGING....but no one logs so its not an issue
Most people do not 'log' thier live games (why?) but everyone logs pbem games. That is were the phase tracker is the most useful.

I don't think that the tracker needs to be modified as once you hit 10 and it rolls back to '1' it is not too hard to remember that '1' is now 11. You have a turn tracker that clearly shows you are on turn 11 to help you remember anyways. JMO.

Sure.
It is just a question of comfort.
Like many features in VASL (e.g. a tag showing that a unit has moved, reminders of possible SAN, cower, etc. DR, ...).

So you can review the game later. And write up detailed AARs. I log everything. I still have logs from two decades ago (admittedly, reviewing those would take a bit of work now...).

Have you compiled each have into one log?
Would you consider sharing them?
I'd love to take a look at them.

No, with the online games it should be relatively easy, but I just go through them for the writeups.

I have created this as an issue on github.

BTW, with reference to logging, starting in VASL6.6.2, users will be prompted to start a log file when opening a VASL session (new or saved game). This has been a long-standing desire for some. It will be brought to you by VASSAL3.5.0 which will be required for VASL6.6.2.

For those like me who never log there will be an option to turn off the prompt. Sweet mercy. LOL.

VASL6.6.2 coming to your device this spring.
