I love it when people who don't know the difference between Doom and Dragon Age start writing about games. It's a guaranteed method to produce some truly juicy quotes.

Here's an interesting editorial that takes a look at a recent game article in Esquire magazine about Modern Warfare 2.

I especially like this quote from the original article:

Or is it that Hollywood is just incapable of making a decent movie these days? It also bears mentioning that MW2 is about a hypthetical war with Russia, not Iraq. Duh.

While these critics are indeed funny, what I find even more distressing, is video games designed by people that don't know anything about the subject they are designing for, even though they are great at designing neat looking graphics.

There's more to video game design, than just being able to design stunning graphics, just as there is more to auto design than being good with an airbrush.
