Hi all,

When the inherent crew abandons a halftrack (in this case after an Immobilization TC), must the passengers also abandon or unload as well. To the best of my knowledge, no, but I want to be sure I am not missing anything. The only relevant passages I can find are D5.4-5.5 (which doesn't mention the fate of passengers) and D6.1:

D6.1... Passengers may remain in their vehicle even while broken or may rout beneath a Stopped vehicle per 5.311, unless the inherent crew (if any) is eliminated, breaks, or Abandons the vehicle, in which case any broken Passengers must rout beneath the vehicle.

NOTE: That this appears to only require broken passengers from abandoning the vehicle along with the crew.

Yes you can stay in/on an abandoned vehicle although that was likely to not be the typical case. And to the extant normally allowed they could fire including vehicular MGs.
