pass another AFV in a woods/road hex...

I have a Soviet T-34 that I want to run down a road that goes through woods hexes. There
is a German Halftrack on the road in the way. I know that I can't overrun another AFV

Well, actually, you can (or rather, the crew of the halftrack can be attacked). See D7.12.

but can I simply pass him (I think that the T-34 has to pay 4MP to do so) or
do I have to go around the HT in that hex by going
through the woods (and take a bog check)?

NRBH, but I recall that you can enter an enemy hex with out OR by paying the cost ( yessss.....4 seems about right)Its in the A section and then you have to look at the D areas about enemy hexes.There was a question about that awhile ago,its somewhere back in the pages.
Now I'm going to have to look it up. Man, I hate this game. ;)

B3.42: "The one MP penalty for entering a hex already containing a vehicle/wreck is doubled to two MP per vehicle/wreck if entering that hex across a road hexside while using the road movement rate."

Thus: 1 MP (Road Rate for BU) + 2 MP (vehicle on road) = 3 MP.

You may stay on the road when entering a woods-road hex (i.e., you do not have to enter the woods in order to "go around" the halftrack).
