I really hope that it will correct the flawed rules of the understandably unsuccessful PB Hill of Death.
If the result is coherent and fun improved PB, I will buy it within a heartbeat.
Out of curiosity - which part of the HoD rules did you find "flawed"?

I.e., in concept - not how the rules are written (because that could have been done better, IMO).

IIRC overrun rules didn't cover the situation when a stack of armored and unarmored units is overrun.
I pointed out a series of bugs in the rules to the final designer, who agreed that the development of the game was a mess.
Some errata were put online, bur many points were not solved at all.
It was one of my most disappointing experiences with a serious wargame producer.
That is why I am really looking forward to seeing a rewritten rulebook.
Perhaps will it even allow to play PB HOD retroactively?

The new designer seems very competent.
So I am hoping again.

I've only read the rules two times (and played two scenarios) - and I agree they are a mess - it shows that there were multiple designers involved along the way. On CSW one can download a (albeit unofficial) living rules document (V2). Hopefully the errata is included in that one.

Do you have a list of those "bugs"?

I only ask, as me and a fellow wargames are considering giving this another go.

I should go spelunking in my emails.
But I think that a hard drive crash which occurred in 2006 destroyed them - I don't remember when the game was published, butvI reacted within days.
Perhaps do I have a paper copy of my questions.

I cannot seem to even be able to find the game anymore.
I must have shelved it in a remote place...

I found the game - but no printed questions and answers in it.
Most of my questions can be found on BGG (with answers to a number of them), dating back to April, 2009 - so my HD crash occured before the game was produced:
https://boardgamegeek.com/forum/1274/panzerblitz-hill-death/rules
I think that I threw the towel, as the amount of questions (and some unaswered ones) would mean reworking on the rules.
