Hi guys, just set the scenario AP165 The Chocos in VASL and they have a hut overlay, X26, on O5,P4, is that correct? The reason I ask is it it plopped on what would normally be several road hexes (PTO so no roads) and just looked in a weird place for me. Maybe that is just what the designers wanted but I just wanted to be sure. If someone has a VASL Map of the scenario that you can post here as a picture in a reply so I can see the proper map, I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance, Vic.

I have the overlay in the same place as it is in the middle of the intersection, interesting, Thanks.

Vic, this is the correct placement of the overlays. Personally, I would leave the "roads" on the board because they are a good representation of the track the village of Oivi sits across. As to the overlay itself, it is a reasonable representation of a New Guinea village fought over by the Australians and Japanese during the Kokoda Track campaign. They contained a handful of huts and, like Oivi, were often located on a plateau (or relatively raised ground), in slightly open terrain.

Thanks Andrew for the reply and explanation, I am doing a solo playing, half way through and it is a tense fight, not sure how it will come out. Nice job on this scenario, the overly placement had me questioning if I had placed it correctly but it looks like I did and glad to give it a try, Vic.
