I'm trying to get VASL running under OS X.

If I close one log file and open another, I get an "out of memory error" or somesuch. Which means I have to quite out of VASL and restart it.

It says I should reduce the colors in the display which I did, but same error. I have tons of memory, but in OS X there's no way to increase the memory allocation to an application (that I know of - I'm new to OS X).

Anyone have any suggestions? Seems to work okay otherwise

Other than "get Windows"?

Actually, VASSAL / VASL is a memory hog. In my Windows machine I sometimes get the "out of memory" error is I open and close several log files without exiting the program.

What is probably happening is that the OS is not immediatley freeing memory when you close the log file. Perhaps Rodney can force this to heppen, but perhaps not. When you EXIT the program all memory is freed.

As I say, I've got OS 10, which feels like about 90% windows (except for those virus thingies everyone keeps talking about)
