The Ortona colour playtest map, after my painstaking addition of stairways, both circular and square. No inherent stairways on this map. The grey open ground is cobblestone, a new terrain type. This is not the final version.

Very nice graphics/map. One question - why did you chose such a dark brown for the hilltop level? I've noticed when I print out draft maps the colors seem to get much darker then they appear on screen so not sure if it is choice (due to other terrain on the map) or technical reasons.

Looks great Mike, Jim would be pleased!

Can't wait for MMP to get this out, Vic.

There is some pretty zany terrain on that map. Could make for a very dynamic CG.

Sharp eyes!
Thanks. I noticed it because it broke the line of the cliff, which at first made me think it was a building that just wasn't positioned correctly in the hex, but when I enlarged the image, I realized it looked like an overhead view of stairs.

WOW!

I had seen a black and white map of this already, which I found quite interesting, but this looks awesome.

I'm not certain it is better than the one coloured by MrP at 2 o'clock immune morning when his son was teething. :)
Nice work. You seem to have spread the buildings in the town more which is good.

Not sure that I like this new map, street layout is different to the PT map I have.

I second what xenovin says.

- the dark brown of the hilltop is too dark
- the green next to the beach is too blueish
- red color hex-numbers would probably better be replaced by white or light grey color.

Just my humble opinion. The whole tone of the colors seems a bit too "cold" to me.
