from Brian:

Operations Special Issue #1

Folks,

We have figured out the retail price for this magazine will be $40.

They will be on sale starting Friday morning (8/8/8) when the WBC vendor area opens (I believe its 9am but check your schedules!). It will not be available at our office or on our website prior to August 11th (i.e., a week from tomorrow; a Monday)

The contents for the magazine are as follows:

1 60-pg magazine + 8 page Iwo Jima rules inserted into the center

2 "half sheets" of counters, one for Iwo Jima, one with some errata
counters and Fallschirmjaeger variant counters

3 maps; 1 Singling ASL HASL map which is approx 22"x25", 1 Iwo Jima map which is approx 17"x22", and 1 Japanese player's movement/setup map which is 8.5"x11".

1 8"x22" cardstock screen for the Japanese player to use to hide their setup/movement map

2 ASL rules pages for Chapter Z covering what you need for Singling

**sales will be limited to one copy per person during the first week the magazine is available from MMP!!
If people order more than one they will be credited for the balance. After the first week, should any remain, we'll probably raise the limit slightly.

Hope to see you at WBC!

If you have a subscription for Operations, do you still need to order it?

Yes, subscriptions do not cover the Special Edition (there's no way we're assuming that people who normally pay $6 for their subscription magazine are automatically going to want to pay $40 for this one).

Will there be a limit on how many a person can buy at WBC? I just want to make sure I get one there on Friday.

I remember seeing that there are 2 Singling scenarios, the CG, and 2 SK scenarios in this issue. Is this true?
