During my July visit to Victoria, I had the pleasure of reading Piper James Cleland Richardson's V.C. (After Action Field Report) which was very reverently posted on the wall inside the Bard and Banker.
Very moving and one of the highlights of my visit.

I think that in the first or second ASL Annual there were the variant rules and depiction of a piper counter. But that was a "for fun" variant.
