Could you enlight us on che state of this project and its content (number of scenarios, CG, booklet etc).
My guess is that while we are enjoying PiF, che BFP crew is hard at work on the next release.

And you would be correct. Objective:Schmidt will have 17 scenarios played on 2 different HASL maps - one covering the area around Schmidt/Kommerschidt (10 scenarios) and the other HASL map covering the town of Vossenack (7 scenarios). There will be one smallish CG covering the battle for Kommerschidt which covers 7 CG dates. There will also be a CG-like big scenario on the Voss map which is very similar to the scenarios in FB that allow you to buy variable reinforcements throughout the scenario. There will be a few counters in the pack mostly of Allied SWs and AFVs in captured German colors. No magazine, though there will be a booklet which covers any general scenario rules, the CG rules, and probably a historical background.

We have most all of the scenarios complete and the CG is in the polishing phase. We have a CG playtest going on right now and if that works as we hope, we'll call the CG done. We still have a couple of scenarios to complete on the Voss map. So this project is well along. We just need to get some playtesting in to finish it up.

Really really looking forward to this product, just out of pure curiosity and some extra cash, I bought the CH version, thankfully at a huge discount. A disappointing product all in all, one large scenario and 1 medium (I think) and the rest were small to very small. Please please no small or tiny scenarios and make sure a few of them use all map areas. Its always disappointing buying a HASL and finding that one or two scenarios use large portions of the map while the rest use only tiny portions. Basically this product should be aimed at guys who like large to medium actions that encompass large portions of the map, including tourney sized scenarios is a waste I think because most people who buy this product are CG players who like their scenario larger then life lol.

The scenarios have a variety of sizes and map use. Definitely something for everyone.

Rick's posts are approximations for what will end up in the final product.

That sounds outstanding (as usual) all around. I don't mind some "small" (say company with no more than 3-4 AFVs on a reduced company) scenarios at all. No worries that you'll fluff up the product with a bunch of platoon on platoon played on 10 hexes by 10 hexes, like CH.

Thank you Rick and Chas

I'm really looking forward to grab Schmidt, in the meantime I'll squeeze more fun out of PiF (not really a difficult task).

CG polishing continues. We are playtesting the final big Voss scenario at the present time. This one just needs a few items finished to put a bow on it. This could well be the next new product out the door for us.

Things are looking good. If we stay on track should be released at the end of this year. Of course will have to go through several months of extensive editing.
