The January version of Office Fest will on the 7th and 8th. Very informal gathering of ASL folks from the general area. Basically PJ sets up in the back room of his office (hence the name).

PJ Norton sends:
Want to give you a heads up on the next Officefest. Would someone
please post a message on whatever current BB there is for gaming online.
January 7th and 8th, 2005. Here at my office at 38500 Michigan Ave,
Wayne MI 48184. Any type of gaming is acceptable here, but primarily ASL
will be played. For those of you who do not know, the event is free, I have
space for people to spend the night if they bring a bed roll. I currently
do not have a refrigerator so bring a cooler for beer and such. I have lost
some of the regular faces here and I miss you guys, please at least stop by
and hang out for a while. Hope to see you all here. Lets try to keep
officefest going, this is the 24th Officefest.

Bummer, those dates are bad because Carlos Mencia will be in town at The Funny Bone. I will skip ASL to catch him again.

One of these days.

Don't forget folks, Office Fest is this Friday and Saturday. This is a great little ASL event that is guaranteed to be fun. If you live in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, western PA, or northern Kentucky, you should definitely attend!!!

I'll go if Mudge goes.
Yeah!! I know PJ and many of us would be thrilled if Oliver returned to join us at Officefest.

As for Mudge, I'd say there is a reasonable chance for his putting in an appearance at least one of those two days.

I had no idea this Office Fest was so well established. I bet for longevity you guys have the record. What has the attendance been like over the years?

Typically it will range from 12-24 depending on weather, personal circumstances, etc.

Well, another Office Fest has come and gone. This was a particularly fun and well-attended Office Fest. On Saturday we had 14 players, and since there were some folks on Friday who couldn't make it on Saturday, we probably had 18 people attending altogether.

I played three scenarios (2-1), including one Schwerpunkt #10 scenario and two from the Franc-Tireur "From the Cellar."

I took a few photos, and I'll dig out the camera soon and post them.

I was sorry to see that I was the only person from Ohio who attended--it is well worth a weekend.

Thanks very much for P.J. Norton for hosting this thrice-yearly weekend o' ASL fun.

But it was announced here and I purposely posted here earlier in the week so that this topic would show up "fresh" in people's browsers!

It is likely there will be another in May and again in September.

And while I am here, special thanks to PJ Norton for hosting this one (and all the others he has hosted over the years).

OK, I'll keep my eye open. I just now about to get back into ASL (I'm waiting for UPS to deliver the set I purchased from a friend).

I was afraid of that. Mike Faulkner is holding an ASL game day on May 14 in Medina, Ohio. Now I can't go to both!

and the 15th I am off to New Orleans, so yet again I will be unable to make an OfficeFest.
I am beginning to suspect it is by design.
