OBA TEM's for factories

Hi,

We are playing RB and a unit is in a roofless factory hex which is on the external factory wall, eg Hex RB M19 - this unit is hit by OBA, what is the modifier to the OBA attack +3 (building) for the factory as it is on an outside factory hex not an internal factory hex, or +2 (roofless factory hex) for being in a roofless factory hex.

I think its +3 as some of the shells would land outside the factory and thus the unit would be protected by the external factory wall like any other building - but not sure.

If this hex instead was a roofed factory hex eg RB K20 would the TEM applied to the OBA attack be +1 (factory) or +3 (building) - again I am pretty sure its +3.

It is roofless and Factory Debris exits in the hex so the TEM vs OBA (Indirect Fire) is +2 [EXC: If Fortified Building Location].

RF 5.45 "Indirect Fire vs a unit in a Roofless Factory Hex - even one that is Fortified- receives a +2 TEM (+1 for Factory and +1 for Debris)."

Thanks for the clarifications - what about the roofed factory hex does this just get a +1 for units in the factory and no TEM for units on the roof?

The guy on the roof is out of luck, no TEM for OBA. The guys inside get +3 if roofed hex.
