Having a lot of "?" concealment counters in my starting OB...
1 - Do I MUST use all of my counters ?
2 - May I not use all my "?" in order to confuse my opponent ?

Thanks to all of you.

It's always good to use concealment counters if they are known to be dummies, and why?

a dummy stack is a legitimate sniper target (that could concievably save your leader with radio).

dummy stacks can also be used for denial of concealment gain (potentially preventing your opponent from gaining concealment).

Sure you're right Corporal Kindel.....
But i'm about to play TAC43 "Slaughter in Paradise" against an unknown opponent via VASL and.....
I would like to play Brits, the ROAR give more chances to the germans.

a dumy stack is a legitimate sniper target
German SAN = 2 !!!...

The odds are against Brits.... So I would like to confuse my opponent, make him, while counting my counters, be unable to understand my setup.....

Just to try..... No Pain.... No Gain !!!!! ;)

Few people who bother to count concealment counters are going to be overly confused by such a maneuver. If you have HIP as well, sometimes it can be useful, by foregoing the HIP and leaving out a couple of concealment counters, which can make a person assume a stack is a dummy stack, perhaps much to his regret. But even that is low probability.

You're right Mark.....
No HIP... After few blank setups.... It's better to keep my dummies, anyway....
Thanks for answers....

A third use is to make your opponent think they're possible real units again. One way of achieving this is of course to buy him lots of drinks, but a cheaper way that I've used in many games is to move the known dummy stack and another concealed stack into the same Location. When they later advance to different Locations, my opponent no longer knows which one that is the dummy stack.
