If you have CP or CG, I could do a smaller scenario to help get you into combat!

Jon,

All the games we play here are Computer based and are published by HPS Simulations - http://www.hpssims.com/

To be honest with you, these are hard-core games...very detailed and complex. If you get bored trying to play a game of Chess, then you'll never get established with these...

Well the good thing is that I love to play chess, and I dont get bored so I guess thats good. detailed is good, im kind of tired about video games that the same thing always happens. its really boring if you beat the same game like 20 times in a week :bored:

Great, then this should be some good new ground for you!

Do you have any of the games, and if so, which ones?

The games we play are publiched by HPS Simulations - http://www.hpssims.com/

If you go to that web site you will see 5 different titles listed, Corinth, Ozark, Franklin, Gettysburg & Peninsula.

Do you own any of those?

Yes, they all cost $...you can occasionally find them used on E-Bay, but not that often. The cheapest place to buy them new, one at a time, is NWS:

I also have "package deals", but it's a larger financial commitment.

We'll be here when you are ready. :)

Well as soon as you are able to pick up one of the games, I would be happy to show you a little bit about the series. Right now I have the Panzer Campaign Series and the Napoleonic/EAW series but I have a couple ACW in the mail.

You might want to check around and make sure that these games are right for you. I can only echo what Rahamy said. These are pretty hardcore wargames. They don't have much in the way of fancy graphics or fast gameplay. The battles play out in turns that are slow and calculated.

There are reviews of the games here on the Armchair General website that I encourage you to look at before you take the plunge.

Thanks Ben. I think I will look at those reviews. Because i'am used to fast paced and good graphics games like MoH, or call of duty. But I also play the slow moving but good graphic game socom.
