So, I have been acquiring ASL bits here and there and have a small group that is learning it together. Eventually we'll branch out and meet some of ya'll.
I have a couple of questions that I suspect I know the answer to.
I have the rulebook, Beyond Valor, King and Country, the French model (that I don't want to attempt to spell without it in front of me), the three starter kits ( I wanted some American counters and scenarios), Valor of the Guards, First Wave at Omaha and the 101st Airborne module from Critical Hit.
If I want to play Western Front Americans my only choice is the starter kits I have or Yanks off ebay? The same is true of PTO? (Gung Ho and Bushido from ebay?) If I get White Beach One from Critical Hit, I can't play PTO because I need the rule sections, not just the counters (since CH supplies the counters) from the original modules? Same is true of Blood and Jungle?
Is there a list somewhere of all the shorthand you guys use when referring to products? BV, KC, ToT, etc? Those I have figured out, but you all use dozens more!
I find all the 3rd party stuff exciting. Is there anything that can't be missed, that is playable without spending hundreds on ebay to get a rules chapter?
Probably more later, but thanks!
