Not new but returning after a self-imposed hiatus , I went to an ASL tournament first getting back into ASL and felt totally out of my league, so I stepped away for a while. I'm here to give it another go maybe at a slower pace this time.

ASL Oktoberfest will be held just a few miles north of you in October at the Bertram Inn.

Get the registration list and you should be able to find some FtF players within a few miles of you.
I live in Lorain County about 60 miles NW of you which is a bit too far for FtF.
Like you, I am totally out of my league at ASLOK and get beat up every year.

Through VASL, you will have the opportunity to play with plenty of mediocre players - like me.
