This game would include of number of campaigns involving joint actions between the armies and the navy.
Campaign 1: The Red River Campaign with two major battles. During the this action the Union Fleet almost had to be destroyed because the water level dropped quickly in the river while the fleet was covering the withdrawals of the beaten Yankee army under Commissionary Banks.
Campaign 2: The Union attack on Fort Fisher. Fort Fisher was the largest earthen fort in the world. It guarded the last open port in the Confederacy. The fort had a chance to beat back the Yankee invasion if Bragg had arrived with Hoke's crack division instead of losing his nerve.
Campaign 3: Baton Rouge, La. Breckenridge was on the verge of recapturing the state capitol when the CSS Arkansas had engine trouble and failed to arrive to support Breckenridge's assault.
Campaign 4: The 1864 campaign to recover Union held eastern North Carolina. The completion of the CSS Ram Albermarle changed everything. Built in a corn field on the Roanoke River, she out classed any union ship in eastern NC. She brushed away the Union fleet and then supported the assault on Plymouth, NC by Robert Hoke's NC division. The entire 10,000 man Union garrision was captured. In fact, until the Ram was sunk in a night attack, all of the state was on the verge of being retaken one Union garrision at a time. This campaign had the potential to change the course of the war in the east.
