It should actually catch up pretty quickly as their executives run and define links.

Which is just as well. Because the "new, improved" internal search engine is pretty dreadful, based on the testing I've done so far.

I've just noticed that Google searches return GS results with the old thread URLs. Thus requires a bit of manipulation to get them to work.

For example:
old URL
http://forums.gamesquad.com/showthread.php?108417-Nordic-Twilight-Vasl-Map-Error

Becomes
http://www.gamesquad.com/xenforo/index.php?threads/nordic-twilight-vasl-map-error.108417/

So if Google returns an old URL you can manipulate it to the new format. Not sure if Google will catch up over time ...

So what IS the bit of manipulation? I don't understand what you did

The base URL is different - use the new one with xenforo in it as per my example: http://www.gamesquad.com/xenforo/index.php?threads/

Then take the rest of the URL from the original URL after the '?', so from
http://forums.gamesquad.com/showthread.php?108417-Nordic-Twilight-Vasl-Map-Error

Take the '108417-Nordic-Twilight-Vasl-Map-Error' part, and move the thread ID to the end so it looks like this 'nordic-twilight-vasl-map-error.108417' and add it to the base URL above to get:

http://www.gamesquad.com/xenforo/index.php?threads/nordic-twilight-vasl-map-error.108417/

Hope that helps.
