Speaking of Chapter E, is there any re-write involved there? Or are your lips sealed?:hush:
There will be some re-write. Not sure if any will be extensive enough to re-issue the entire chapter, or just a few pages plus some errata bullets.

I'm going for maximum accessibility, so any HASL is not in the running for this one-round mini.

I have just gone through all the Action Pack scenarios. I found three that fit my requirement.

AP100 COAL IN THEIR STOCKINGS
AP70 SONS OF SLAVA
AP41 THE MEAT GRINDER

I'm interested to hear people's opinions of these scenarios regarding balance and enjoyment.
They tell me the first two are pretty solid :)

I've played the last one a couple times, and it is mini-worthy.

I would advise against doing a tournament this way. Two well matched players having a close game means neither will get into the finals. You are only rewarding lop sided matchups.

I really enjoyed AP41 THE MEAT GRINDER. Tactically interesting and its one where a side can absorb a run of bad luck and still have fighting chances. I haven't played the other two.

Have played all three and my pick would be Coal in their stockings#1; The Meatgrinder #2; and Sons of Slava #3 (with a caveat: very hard on the Russians with a competent German defender).
