My current (partially job related) reading:
Iron Men and Tin Fish by Anthony Newpower
or how difficult it is to build effective torpedoes.

I think it's a good overview of the naval War between Russia and Japan. Battles are described in sufficient detail, strategical and operational issues are discussed, technical info on the ships is sketchy, but that's not the main focus of this series.Anyone have any opinions on the 2 volume series about the RJW by Piotr Olender?
BH - I agree (I'm reading this series now) but BUYER BEWARE. These do not appear to have the "map cases under a separate cover" which are boxes of folded paper maps which absolutely ROCK. The fine print below on ebay says:The RN's official history of WW1 naval operations, by Sir Julian Corbett. These are unsold copies of the 5-volume reprint published in 1997, complete with all maps and illustrations, for only $175. EXCELLENT deal and highly recommended.
