Last weekend I got Soap&Skin's "From Gas To Solid/You Are My Friend".

Anja Plaschg (S&S) would not be most people's cup of tea. I would best describe her music as dark avant-garde with a strong almost classical flavour. I find her emotionally engaging but also quite calming.

A friend once said I have a taste for "flaky females" . While my collection of male artists is mainly punk, new wave and the likes of Springsteen and Tom Petty, my choice in female artist goes from Soap&Skin through The Breeders, Patti Smith and Metric to Avril Lavigne. I am also a fan of Richard Wagner and Dmitri Shostakovich.

Re-exploring New Wave of the 80's, discovered that Billy Idol put an album out in 2014.
