Can't say which is better, the original, or Emperor's version, good song nevertheless.
The original Though, I have to admit, the Emperor version is a fantastic. This French band called Nehëmah did a cover of Bathory's "Call From the Grave" and it was also a very quality Bathory cover...Can't say which is better, the original, or Emperor's version, good song nevertheless.

Wow, good one, and surprisingly the sound is as terribly flat as in "under the sign...", love itHere you go:
They are a fantastic band. Their stuff was extremely hard to get a hold of for a while and then got reprinted. I don't know the status now since I have all the albums. The third album isn't as good as the first two, but the first two are almost "must haves".Wow, good one, and surprisingly the sound is as terribly flat as in "under the sign...", love it
lol, nice. Totally brilliant. I would have repped you, but I did already about 5 minutes agoGuess it's the time for The Darkthrones, then!
What's strange is that French BM stays in shadow of Anorexia Nervosa (man that sounds funny), not much is heard from there. They are a fantastic band. BTW, see my edit above in regards to Emperor.
Check out The Emperors too, with Chip Ihsahn, good surf flow.lol, nice.
I think that's changed now. There are a lot of obscure French acts, but there's also some that are on the forefront. Such as: Deathspell Omega, Anteaus, Blut Aus Nord, Celesia, Mütiilation, Peste Noire, Spektr, Vlad Tepes..What's strange is that French BM stays in shadow of Anorexia Nervosa (man that sounds funny), not much is heard from there.
(actually, I suppose some of these are a bit more obscureI think that's changed now. There are a lot of obscure French acts, but there's also some that are on the forefront. Such as: Deathspell Omega, Anteaus, Blut Aus Nord, Celesia, Mütiilation, Peste Noire, Spektr, Vlad Tepes..
Frankly, from this list I've heard Vlad Tepes, and heard about Blut Aus Nord, only . I thought that Vlad Tepes was from Germany, everyday something new.(actually, I suppose some of these are a bit more obscure
Just saw this now.Frankly, from this list I've heard Vlad Tepes, and heard about Blut Aus Nord, only . I thought that Vlad Tepes was from Germany, everyday something new.
You've made me return to my dusty old tapes, some Polish pagan in return

A good track. The French BM scene is pretty amazing in some regards. Some bands I didn't mention that are so worth your time are Hegemon and Belenos (the latter is a 1-man band, and unlike many 1-man bands, you can't tell it's a 1-man band). And, of course, I already showed you Nehëmah.Frankly, from this list I've heard Vlad Tepes, and heard about Blut Aus Nord, only . I thought that Vlad Tepes was from Germany, everyday something new.

Since you've been out of it for a while, I suppose it's not strange that you haven't heard of Deathspell Omega (though, they've been around for a while), but they are regarded by some as the greatest BM band currently playing. Fair warning: they are super evil, but their music is amazing.
