Hello. How is movement treated across a hexside that is at a lower level than the starting and finishing hexes (assume these two latter levels are the same). Specific example, the pond in Board 3B across hexside FF10/GG11 is per B21.2. SSRs deterimines that the pond is dry, so it is just OG at level -1, but only on the hexside. How many MPs/MFs to cross?

Thanks

What you are looking for is B10.5 Abrupt Elevations changes. For Infantry it would be 1MF to go down, plus 1MF doubled to 2MF to go back up for a total of 3MF.

3MF for Infantry. 7MP for fully tracked.

See B10.5 ABRUPT ELEVATION CHANGE

B10.5 cites movement 15BB8<=>AA9, e.g. B10.51 elaborates w/examples.

B10.51 ... It costs a squad three MF ... to move from 15BB8 to AA9 (one MF to descend a level plus two MF to ascend a level).
For fully tracked, 2MP to descend plus the normal 4+1=5MP to ascend into OG = 7MP total, e.g.

Thanks, the example makes it crystal clear. I was confused reading the actual rule: 10.5 ABRUPT ELEVATION CHANGES: An Abrupt Elevation Change
occurs when a unit enters two or more levels while crossing one non-cliff hexside. I thought going down did not count, but it does.
