Guys

Any recommendations for a huge scenario for about 6 players? Beach landing maybe? I seem to remember a Monster Pack but I've never actually seen it. We're just kicking round the idea for a weekend in the winter. I guess the other option would be a GM'd double blind thingy - any examples of those out there?

Cheers

War Oboe's monster pack is still available from their web site, I think.

Prolly won't come in time for the weekend.

I've actually played a few turns of the Normandy Beach invasion
multiplayer we played a reduced version with each pair of players
covering one or two board-widths.

It worked out pretty well, we had some down time because it was hard
to coordinate the phases. On some boards a given phase was fast on
another it took a lot of time.

A portion of the monster pack is available for download.

You could just repeat this map several times for each pair of players.
Player note: cover the mines with FP or they do no good.

I've solitaired this scenario, it was very bloody.

I think double blind is better with a small scenario.

Have fun, don't forget to post an AAR.

"Clash Along the Psel" lends itself to team play. My experiences with GM-d ASL usually revolve around a lack of communication and intel. For example, in an-all armor game, the GM might require a shooter to pass another TH roll to observe the results of a hit. "I know I hit it... it's not firing back... is it Shocked? Stunned? I better fire again..."

Or, perhaps every tank has a big "?" on it until a "Spotting TH" roll is made... Normal concealment loss rules would apply, of course, as the marker merely serves to hide the identity of the vehicle until it's Spotted. This gives a game that "every tank is a Tiger" feel.

For further inspiration, check out the rules for PBEM Tank Rumbles:

A creative GM could apply these to a ftf game.

To the Last Man can make for a good 3-4 person game, don't forget the balance. Hill 621 lends itself to 2-3 per side. Preparing the Way is another good one for 2-3 per side.
