So I saw this in the header of the MMP thread at Consimworld:

Anticipated 2021 Production List:

Advanced Squad Leader
  • Manila HASL will go on preorder;
  • An as yet untitled Australian pack will print;
  • ASL Journal 13 will be released;
  • The eASLRB will be released via Wargame Vault, price TBD;
  • Pocket Chapter H, Pocket Charts, and Pocket Rulebook will all go on sale shortly;
  • Supplemental Map Bundle 2 will be released;
  • Hollow Legions will go on preorder;
  • The Normandy HASL (Drop Zone Ste. Mère Église) will go on preorder;
  • An Overlay pack will go on preorder;
  • The 2021 Winter Offensive Bonus Pack will print.
That's quite an impressive list.

Remember the days when there was nothing at all in a given year!

Lots to look forward to!

Not to get too greedy, but has there been any discussion of putting the OOP Action Pack scenarios on Wargame Vault (especially with the Supplemental Map Pack coming closer to release)?

I asked this on Consimworld on Dec 16, 2020, and Perry answered it as follows:

>Are you thinking of adding the scenarios from the OoP ASL Action Packs to WarGameVault too?
Thinking about it. MAYBE after Supplemental Map Bundle makes boards available.

Is it just me, or have the shipping prices also gone up, especially to OS??
Not just a little, but a LOT.

Shipping rates are based on actual rates from the shipping providers. Yes, shipping as gone up across the board.

A LOT of things are going up. Steel prices have gone up to $0.70 a pound ( from $0.45 in November ). One customer is paying over a $1.00 a pound for coil stock. Wood prices are going up and up too. A guy who is building his own house had to pay an extra $30,000 just for lumber. Grocery prices have also gone up. Everything seems to be going up.

you'd think that - in time - some US carrier would discover the incentive to have a lower flat rate and just outcompete USPS/UPS dramatically. depends on how much "parcel post" goes overseas from the US. the current prices are embarrassing.

Well, if there are only few carriers (which I suppose there are), then they might feel just more comfy in their little oligopoly to rip you off as a team. Nobody needs to know of their little 'agreements' that - needless to say - never happened. Works just fine in life science/pharma as well.

And of course the customers get ripped off. It is way cheaper to send back the indentical parcel received from MMP from Europe back to sender. The distance it the same. The aircraft do not gobble up more fuel on the way back (dunno about jet streams & stuff, but for sure the differnce would fail miserably to explain the difference in prices).

As a bottom line, direct purchases from the US simply do not happen any more since a couple of years. That's not the fault of the gaming companies. It is the fault of the carriers with their ridiculously and absurdly high rip-off prices. The carriers actively destroy the business of some US gaming companies in my case.

From a customer perspective, there is no 'too big to fail', but rather a 'too big is failed'.

Well, that’s a lot coming our way - thanks a lot.

But customers are hard to please, even with so many goodies on their way - is there any chance of a reprint of Doomed Battalions (Allied Minors) in the (near) future ?

A sorely missed core module in my collection.
And in many others’, I guess ?
