The Spanish Civil War DASL isn't the module slated to go on pre-order this year? The Module and the DASL are two different projects right?
As I understand it Guerra en Espana (Spanish CW) and Contested Lands ('48 Arab-Israeli war) are both considered "core modules" and neither are HASL or Deluxe ASL.

Even though they are outside the scope of WW2 they are considered core modules because they introduce new nationalities and rules, similar to Forgotten War.

I am looking forward to your Spanish Civil War and Arab Israeli War DASL (once Hasbro clears MMP to publish those of course).
I am aware of the Hasbro/MMP hold on Contested Lands, but what is the reason for a hold with Guerra en Espana?

I don't think there is a "hold" on that (Spanish)....other than there's a bunch of other stuff in line...

Edit: added "(Spanish)".

I’d say that’s a “hold”.

  • Contested Lands (last title mentioned) "core module" was removed from the production schedule due to current situations happening in the Middle East. The module is basically done, and will be added back to the schedule when the time is right. This was a Hasbro decision, not MMP decision.

There's no "hold" on the Spanish CW module. It will go on pre-order towards the end of the year per Curt. This could change of course. MMP has a lot of ASL (and other games) in the queue right now.

Contested Lands was essentially done but is in a holding pattern for now at Hasbro's request (they own ASL, they're the boss).

Right, that I got, but they were talking about Spanish Civil War DASL scenarios and I was trying to figure out when those were going to be released and in what format? WO Pack? Journal?

Done, as in the submisison was essentially done, yes....nothing (as far I know) has been turned into "official" layout/proofed/etc.
I'm just quoting what Curt said in the first roundtable, that Contested Lands "is done, for the most part". I took that to mean that it was...done, for the most part. 😁

I think we have to walk (Guerra en Espana), before we can run (Spanish Civil War DASL.)

The Australian navy has come up with an uncanny way of not being seen, in fact to hide whole ships:

I've been married too long - first thing I did was use the Mk13 launcher to identify that as a copy of the Perry-class FFG. Maybe I should head over to the Harpoon game forum now...

This is my understanding as well. No hold, just a lot in front of it at the moment.

Yep, we had some OHP class back in the 80's - the US built a whole bunch and we added a couple as well. Same with CF Adams class.
This was one of my favourite books growing up, and I'd visit the US ships when they came into Sydney (and was allowed to go). Got on a Spruance one year and Blue Ridge on another, carriers and others too. Good times...
