The faster it gets to Preorder #, the faster it's printed...

True for the non-Core stuff. I think MMP has said in the past that the Core modules will get reprinted from time to time regardless of the pre-order status. Higher numbers would be better, but I believe not meeting the pre-order number for a Core module won't prevent it from getting printed.

I hope that the VC won't be too circumvoluted - a "trademark" of Fort...
From what I've seen, the scenario VC aren't difficult to grok. What's more, with one possible borderline exception, the "non-Lion's share" can all be completed in an evening (assuming an "average" pace of play).

As for the mapboards, they're virtually irresistible. I'm particularly keen on board 21a/b.

Circumvoluted VC sounds like an interesting idea for a thread. I'll have to talk it over tonight with Captain Bacchus and Colonel Cuervo. 🤔
VC are a tough thing to get right any more. You don't want to have too much of the same old "building Control" or "Exit VP". But can't go too far out of the box either, as it could make it harder to grok and thus balance.

Or, you have people who complain about needing a doctorate in math to figure out the VC.
That always makes me chuckle; people who’ve learned ASL complaining about doing basic math.

Between basic and a doctorate, there must be some intermediary level. 😉
I would say that VC are more about boolean logics (AND, OR, XOR, IF, NOT) than plain mathematics.

L'Hospital's rule is a mathematical theorem that allows evaluating limits of ASL victory conditions. In a nutshell, if you lose too many squads carelessly (sending them to the hospital, so to speak), you will most likely lose.

Bring it on, Burma was a killer campaign, both in the Japanese attack early on and the Allied counteroffensive later on.
Nasty Japanese vs Gurkhas at times, usually not much left for either side by the end. I look forward to it.

From Peter on CSW:

Last Call for Preorders for Roads to Rangoon
MMP building packs and should start shipping Friday 07/19 or Monday 7/22.
Can pick up at WBC, if so, cancel Preorder or don't and get two copies...

Also Special Ops #12 will be at WBC and should be available for order afterwards. No mention of scenarios, but tradition has been 2 ASL and 2 ASLSK.
