These mugs are like 3/4” thick. Weigh almost a pound. Hold (maybe) 8 ounces. Lol. Can be used in CC if necessary.
I served with a Marine GnySgt who had a mug that hadn't been washed in decades. He could pour hot water in it and make a weak coffee. The sadness in his life the day a new soldier washed his mug. -- jim

We had a coffee mug peg board in our ready room on Coral Sea. Nobody ever washed their mugs for entire deployment. Besides, who wants to wash out a mug in water that was contaminated with JP5? Point of pride for those who had the best “patina”.

When were you on the Coral Sea?
Stationed at Oak Knoll, did some emergency work for CV43’s laboratory prior to their deployment for the Iranian Hostage Crisis ‘79.
