Just wondering , where does it say MMG's on AFV's do NOT have a ROF?

Also can anyone tell me how to change my Forum " name"?

Thanks

COWTRA: "Concetrate on what the rules allow"

If the rules do NOT state that you get ROF on machine guns on AFV - then you dont get ROF (simple). There does not have to be a rule disallowing it to make it illegal. But, you must have a rule allowing it for it to be legal.

Classic Case; NO rule says that a Panther is not allowed to fly. Do you think they can ?

Some AFV's do have ROF when a MG is the MA (German halftracks for example)

also note in the MG section of "A":

"9.2 MULTIPLE ROF: Each SW (or vehicular MA) MG....."

not a word about the BMG, CMG or AAMG--only MA MG--

What is it with some people

I thought I had finished bludgoning the " sick and infirm" on these Forums in fact I hoped thay had gone away by natural attrition.

What is YOUR POINT about have I played RB CG's face to face. What is your point ?

Perhaps you just like complaining. For God sake !! if you have something to input, input it!!< if you are just winging FUCK OFF !! geeeesh - you can say that again pal....

[Christ, the only reason I posted the RB website in the first place was to keep some of the best material alive. I have some new excellent contour maps of the approaches to Stalingrad + unit dispositions in a divisional structure as well as areal photos of all the factories, but you know, people like you make me wondered why I bothered to spend a full week putting it altogether. ]

Thanks for your input..

BTW,

Only MA have ROF. So when you see, a ROF on a counter.... that also means it has a "main armament".

Not trying to be obtuse, but look at a half track that's armed with an AAMG. Most of these have a ROF of 1 - and the AAMG is the "Main Armament".

Perhaps its only me, but I missed the point that ROF only applied to main armament (there are a handful of vehicles with Main / Secondary armament that are exceptions....)

Well said Sam. I would only add for "the Major's" benefit that the rule is contained at D3.5 and the rational behind it is in footnote D 6.

Yep.

Da "major" asks:

D3.5 VEHICULAR MG/IFE FIRE: The MG/IFE armament of a vehicle, unlike a SW counter (A9.2), may make only one fire attack per Player Turn unless it is the vehicle's MA with a specific Multiple ROF, in which case it and its ROF will be listed as the MA in the lower left-hand corner of the counter

How old is this Major Shastokovich (or whatever) ?

From the tone of his posts and the arrogance of stealing material for his website, my guess the maturity factor is in the mid teens somewhere.

Anyone else get this vibe too

Agree on maturity index--

Other factors maybe--no ftf gaming experience and limited personal interaction with ASLers in general.
