Was this the gun that was part of a mock-up of a turreted AA Panther that was abandoned? There was also, I believe, a 37mm-based mock-up. Both were rejected for development.

Doesn't specify the gun designation.
According to the article, the weapon was a 5.5cm FlaK weapon, which probably means it was a gerät 58, not the 5cm FlaK 41.

While the Germans never seemed to get either the 5cm or 5.5cm guns up to a satisfactory standard, the Soviets successfulness used some of the ideas/designs in their 57mm AZP S-60, still in use today.
