Medals on the ladders

Say I remember reading - I believe - on the Warfare HQ site that there were medals.

Largely, they were given to members who have made a contribution of some kind or for meritorious reasons.

Now I can't find the link at all; much less find any member with a medal listed.

Was I suffering from prelonged pbem express turn return rate activity and fell asleep and quietly dreamnt dreaming.html viewing material or has someone also experienced this unidentified reading page? er can recall the link info.

Once they were, again they shall be! All awards and medals from the old ladder are safely archived, awaiting rebirth on WARS. Look for them next week ....

Criteria?

Probably the medal criteria will go up when the medals are reinstated. But in the meantime, going from the old system with the former criteria, there are three basic classes of medals:

1. Club & Section Efforts
Distinguished Service Cross (for Staff)
Distinguished Service Medal (for Staff)
Soldier's Medal (running a tournament)
Meritorious Service Medal (8 or more contributions to a Section)
Achievement Medal (2 or more contributions to a Section)

2. Tournament Medals
Victory Medal 1st Class (coming 1st in a tournament)
Victory Medal 2nd Class (coming 2nd in a tournament)
Victory Medal 3rd Class (coming 3rd in a tournament)
Tournament Specific Ribbons (for participating in at least one round of a tournament)

3. WARS Ladder Awards
Silver Star (once 1st on WARS ladder by rating or score and >= 750 points)
Bronze Star (Elite rating and >= 500 points)
Combat Action Ribbon (Crack rating and >= 250 points)
Purple Heart (once listed with the "Cannon Fodder" rating on WARS)


Now it's possible which medals are available and the criteria for their being awarded might change so I'm not guaranteeing they'll remain as I've summarised them above, but this is probably as good a guide for now as any.
