From Doug Rimmer:
The 29th annual Canadian ASL Open will take place in Ottawa, Ontario from May 16 – 18, 2025. As usual, the Open will consist of five rounds spread over Friday, Saturday and Sunday. This competition has seen six different winners over the past 6 years. Will you be the one to wear the crown in 2025?
The tournament venue will be the Best Western Plus Ottawa/Kanata Hotel and Conference Centre, Ottawa, site of the last two CASLOs held in Ottawa. Tournament Director Doug Rimmer will provide his usual capable leadership of the event, supported by the Ottawa ASL community.
As befits the name, CASLO XXIX will have a strong Canadian emphasis – featuring scenarios involving Canadian units and scenarios created by Canadian designers. Players will also be challenged by several tactical themes and by a round of newer scenarios. Additionally, we are planning a mini-tournament of ASL SK scenarios.
Whether you’re a seasoned player or a newcomer to the world of ASL, CASLO promises an experience filled with thrilling competition, unforgettable memories, and the warmth of a community united by a shared passion. Join us in Ottawa, and be part of the continuing story of the Canadian Advanced Squad Leader Open.
Information about CASLO is available on the Canadian Advanced Squad Leader Association (CASLA)'s website:

More details on Registration, Hotel Reservations, and most importantly, Tournament Scenarios will be added to the website starting in January.
