Add an item to the Map menu: "Control/Coordination Graphics"
Control layout: Reuse the Engineering tool "build a landing zone"
Use:
1 - Player selects from a limited* menu of standard US/NATO military graphics and checks which force colors they will be visible to. Includes:
..a - Standard simple graphics [flags, squares, diamonds, circles, triangles, etc.]
..b - Standard simple shapes [short verticle, horizontal, & diagonal lines]
..c - Whatever tickles the developer's fancy
..d - User can right click and add a description similar to obstacles [e.g. "CP1"]
2 - Cursor changes to a standard crosshair and user places one or more graphics of the selected type on the map.
3 - Option to delete existing graphics appears on same control panel.
Advantage:
a. Can be used in real time to add control graphics without opening another application and distributing a separate file to players by email or upload.
b. Can be used by the graphically challenged who otherwise cannot draw worth a darn.
*Comment: No point putting in the entire NATO symbol set, most of us don't remember what bulk of them stood for anyway and don't want to look them up in the middle of a game.
