I’m not usually bothered by overlays, but that is frightening and awful looking.
The VASL versions of these boards will have Scenario Specific Overlays that combine all of the individual overlays into one.I’m not usually bothered by overlays, but that is frightening and awful looking.
Again, thank you for doing this heavy lifting. I am sure these scenarios will be great to play, and they deserve to be played. But how many ftf-players will really want to spend two hours setting this up on a table? VASL is the way to go on this. The VASL versions of these boards will have Scenario Specific Overlays that combine all of the individual overlays into one.
I playtested most of them and now played most of the rest. Excellent scenarios and well worth the prep time. Others who played and playtested them in our club were fine with itAgain, thank you for doing this heavy lifting. I am sure these scenarios will be great to play, and they deserve to be played. Is this how 3-D boards are introduced into the game?Edit: I miscounted earlier. I actually can see seven (7) overlapping layers of overlays in his original photo. This is just insane. If we were Scouts, this effort would merit an Eagle merit badge. These railyards for me are The Third Rail of ASL overlays. Just don’t touch.
Sounds like a good idea to me!Question - is there merit in opening a thread asking for users to post their set-up files if they have them, and I will ensure they are properly scrubbed (No VC/SSR), updated and uploaded?
Uhh, raises hand I would LOVE to FTF this.Again, thank you for doing this heavy lifting. I am sure these scenarios will be great to play, and they deserve to be played. But how many ftf-players will really want to spend two hours setting this up on a table? VASL is the way to go on this.
Did you remember to install at least one Stairwell Hex?Last year I dropped 60K into the upper level of the house.
I take it that it passed the mandatory NMC for landing in a building hex.Last year I dropped 60K into the upper level of the house.
After 2 or 3 fails and a labor counter. Yes!I take it that it passed the mandatory NMC for landing in a building hex.
Tuomo did amazing work to get these into VASL, and they are also now available in the Scenario Archive - when you hover over the maps on each TotR scenario, the board images will show up.Guys, any idea when the TotR Maps and Overlays will be available? (18a/b + 19a/b etc)
Though now superfluous with the excellent VASL extension to pull them in, all of the set-up files have been uploaded to their respective scenarios on the Archive. For those of you following along at home, about 1/3 of the VASL set-up files available on VASL Set-Ups have been uploaded into the Archive.
Not a big fan of overlays, so I don 't use them.I’m not usually bothered by overlays, but that is frightening and awful looking.
