Map Creation issues

having dramas getting DA to select a .jpg for usage as a map. It's in the Map directory, it's the right size etc; but DA refuses to recognise it in the "Choose a file" process.

Never had this drama before, so I'm wondering why now.

Any DA gurus offering advice on map creation would be appreciated.

When you go to select the map, you SHOULD be able to select the graphic type from a drop-down at the bottom of the window, just like selecting a file-type you might be looking for.

If you can't, then there's some kind of bug in your version.

Perhaps your jpg is the problem. Try saving it again with different (or no) compression settings, with and without interleave, with and without thumbnail miniature, etc, or by using a different art program.

True,...make sure the extension is .JPG and NOT .JPEG!!!

Using Paint Shop pro...might have a go with Photoshop.

Curt: can select the type of file (.bmp or .jpg), but the desired file isn;t available for selection...

I'll try the Major's suggestions...

Yep - the .jpg was the issue - and a pita one at that
