Sorry, but 70$ for a map, some overlays and four scenarios without counters, rules or play aids, all contained in a ziplock bag, is way too expensive. I paid the same for my Advanced Tobruk 3rd Ed. (this Lords of the Steppe claims it is the new Tobruk, ha!) and it came with maps, overlays, counters, play aids, rules and box. I quit buying ATS stuff a long time ago, although I keep all my "legacy" stuff.

Although ATS is better than ever graphically, it is worse than ever as a game system and as game inversion. Sorry, but I'm not in.

So this finally came out. Many many years ago a base set for ATS in Europe, much as described here but with more of everything, was called Metal Gods. That title was originally given to Ponri.

The six map panels are all identical right? I believe they are squad leader size hexes, but I could be incorrect.

Yes, six identical labeled A-F. I've found that Scotch Removeable double sided tape is the best way to mount the overlays. Squad Leader sized H exes..3/4 inches side to side, perfect fit for using ATS TT counters, a bit small for ATS standard sized counters.

I use museum putty, i think that is what it is called.

To bad they don't fit most of ATS counters. I'm still waiting for someone to ask to buy all my TT counters, so I can replace them with regular size counters. Ha Ha, I guess I'm beating an old drum.

Just call me extra cautious when purchasing. regular size only. You know, like Desert Fox Vs Rommel hexes.

I wish they had made these kits full size boards, or matching, or something.

Time to get ATS out tonight :)

You've got TT counters available? They're undergoing a Renaisance lately. Check out ATSFB.
