Let us know how you go. I'd be interested in giving this a go as well.

I think i tried to play a live game a few months ago, but you had to download some software, which kinda put me off.

Well, tonight i tried live chess and got 3 games in. 3 minutes a side.
1st game ... opponant withdrew.
2nd game i lost in 16 moves.
3rd movie i won in 55 moves (not bad for a 3 minute game).

No need to download anything. Easy.

Lost 4th game in 29 moves. Verrrry addictive.

Won 5th game because opponant ran out of time, first time a game has been decided that way (still playing 3 minute blitz).

I still havent played in a tournament. But some nights i am playing 4-8 games at 3 minutes. Outrageously addictive fun. I've enjoyed the 3 minute limit. Fast games, just enough time to think at one or two critical moves. Its been good getting so many games in, chess repatition.

True, quality of games is .... lacking. Chessmaster shoots games to bits afterwards on review. But its so fun and tight. There have been many games where i've lost a queen, sometimes for nothing, and my opponant hasnt been able to check me and lost on time. I dont mind that. Aim of the game is check mate, not be in front on material when time expires, but it does leave you kinda empty, until you see your rating points go up! Guilty pleasure.

Still, i think its really helping. And i can see my play at 14 days games slowing.
