Hi All
I know there were a few published, a Market Garden set in the 91 Annual, a Corregidor one, and just published March Madness one. Think there was a 3 scenario east front one in one of the Journals or AP’s? Any other ones? where?
Thanks all.
Paul

The Journals are your best bet. Buy the electronic download pack. You’ll get the Kursk trio, the 1945 German trio and the Line In The Sand trio.

Lone Canuck has a few. The recent GD pack for instance. Also, Blitzkrieg in the West, I think. The HazMo3 pack has a pseudo linked campaign.

I just got 4 good looking scenarios on Operation Dragoon but they are on disparate dates in different locals so will just release them separately but this whole concept sounds like something I should pursue and come up with one for the PTO, either early on in the Japanese offensive or later in the war when the allies really seek revenge.

I love the idea of these, but if not done right, the problem is the balance of subsequent scenarios. We tried to play one and after the first, the second was set to be modified from the printed scenario with one turn shorter (bad for attacker) but then like 8 squads, leaders and sw more for the attacker which seemed ridiculous. Noone would pick that scenario up and say, let's give one side 50% more forces and see how it goes. So we moved on to something else.

Should have more of this. Takes more time to playtest and to develop...I know.

And, standing in the way of this, there seems the greatest interest is in and the demand is for Tournament Style (tm), or at least, tournament compatible, scenarios.

I believe that used to be the mantra but not so much now with the number of VASL games being played. There is certainly a demand for such scenarios, however, with the ability to rapidly save and pick up a game again at a later date with ease, the longer/larger scenarios are certainly making a strong come-back.

yes the problem is .. You have to balance it BOTH ways ---- as individual scenarios, and as a CG-- with all of the little 'add-ins'.

Only because no one other than playtesters and the people who submitted the scenarios have played any yet.
(We want ASL Journal 14, and we want it now!)
