In another thread, questions arose on how to deal with possible Abandonment and removal of SW from the Russian M3A1. Please see here to follow the discussion:

My take is that the M3A1 can be Abandoned and would get a US .50Cal (dm) and a US MMG (dm) for which no captured use penalties would apply. Furthermore, by the rules I would think the BAZ45 could be removed as well to be used without captured use penalties, too.

Is there any designer's intent of this being treated differently?

Hmmmmm.... apologies, the AFV should have used a Russian coloured counter with no Baz 45.

As far as the 0.5 cal and MMG are concerned, up to the players to abandon the AFV. I didn't design the scenario having in mind the possibility of abandoning an AFV, even if this is something allowed by the rules.
