I finished the CoS article on slopes last night. For a newer guy like me, this article is a great read. It has really helped me understand slopes better. I really appreciate the many examples with accompanying pictures.

I'm really looking forward to digging (pun intended) into the article on dug-in tanks and the article on fortifications. I, for one, welcome articles like these as I do the earlier ones, like the one about bocage.

Keep 'em coming!

Jamey,

Thank you! Yes, definitely more like this coming. Note that there is one member (or former member) of this forum that concludes after every product that our articles are terrible. However, the other 99% seem to appreciate our articles and we aim to please.

Thanks again,
Chas

I've read most of the CoS book now and I agree. Good stuff. The slopes article is tops of the group. It was in a Recon by Fire in an earlier form, but re-printing and updating it was a great move for BFP. Slopes are really not that bad once you start playing with them, but getting your head around them can be a PITB. This article really smooths that, especially with the examples, so getting it out to more folks is a big win since BFP uses them regularly. Thumbs way up.

I also wish he would come back to Gamesquad....but he needs to clean the sand out of his female parts first:)

The article comments are much appreciated.

I thought I had grokked slopes until Chas pointed out that I'd got it wrong. I need to read his article to see how and why.

It's posted but it has not arrived!!!!! But I have read the article (proof copy) and yes it is a great read, I liked the Bocage article but this one is better.

You just can't ignore slopes on these boards as they become very important for those long range through the grain shots. A well sighted ATG can be a major slope fest bonus.
