I was going to play J100 "A Few Rounds More", but when I looked in the Chapter H German Vehicle Notes I could not find a listing for the Sturmtiger. Does anyone know when/where the Vehicle Notes for the Sturmtiger were introduced?

jackbear,

Thanks for the quick feedback. Since I do not own Operation Veritable HS this will be a problem. Looked like a fun scenario. I always wanted to try something with a "Heavy Payload", must be devestating if you get a hit.

I have Journal 6 and I was going to play J100 via VASL.

Fred,

The AFV Card was very informative. Thank you.

SturmTiger devastation

Well, I played J100 twice and the second time set up correctly as the Germans and got a regular hit, in woods, versus infantry and ended up with a 3KIA result which missed the leader...

real bad, but if my calculations are right a CRIT vs Inf:

380x2 = 760 is a 36 table - 11... before modification, the only hope is for a DUD!

How do you get -11? The minus for big artillery is only for OBA, right?

According to C.7 a CH can generate extra -1s as well:

"C.7 HEAVY PAYLOAD: An OBA or bomb hit of ≥ 250mm is resolved on the 36 FP column with a -1 bonus DRM for each multiple of 50mm in excess of 200mm (FRD). (Any such attack halved for any reason is resolved on the 16 FP column with half of any bonus size DRM [FRD]). In addition, any CH that generates FP in excess of 36 FP is resolved on the 36+ column of the IFT with a -1 bonus DRM for each whole multiple of eight FP in excess of 36."

Although I think the calculation of the -1 for a CH with a SturmTiger would be based on its FP - not its caliber so I think the extra -1s would be:

36FP x 2 = 72, 36/8 = 4,5, so the extra -1s would be -4 not -11.

BTW the only duds occure against vehicle TK numbers not IFT.
a 12 is a 12 with DRMs.
