Setting up for BFP27 and I'm having trouble cropping this board.

BFPDW1a crops just fine. However, when I crop 1b, I get this:

12406

I've tried cropping different combinations of coordinates and always get the same result.

What I did:
  • Start new scenario
  • Select boards BFPDW1a and BFPDW1b
  • Click "Finish" on the Choose Boards dialog; VASL updated both boards
  • Saved the file
  • Selected "Pick new boards for this scenario" to bring up the board configuration dialog
  • Cropped 1a:
12407

  • Worked fine
  • Cropped 1b, using same input as above, got results from the first image
Is this a known issue? Is there a work-around? Am I doing something wrong?

Never come across this before.

TIA-

Burnie

Try cropping 1a as T-GG, 1-10 and 1b as T-GG, 11-20. The twin board are numbered 1-10 and 11-20, not 1-10, 1-10. If you add board 01 and crop it t-gg, 11-20 you get a similar result.

That worked. Thanks.

There was an earlier thread (that of course I cannot find) about a cropping problem with BFP b boards. If it is the same problem then I found the cause and created a fix that will be in vasl6.5 coming this spring.

I don't think this is a bug. The numbers on the "b" boards begin at 11 and go to 20. You have to crop using the labeling BFP gave it. It might be considered an enhancement if vasl could notice that the cropping was not suitable for the board in question and gave a warning about it.
