10-3 was always a conundrum. Such potential. Such a potential for disaster. 🙄

I usually don't know what to do with a road block.
An obstacle rarely stops the enemy progression indefinitely.
I see some uses in addition to blocking a given road:
  • It can block LOS and allow to move across a road without losing concealment.
  • If out of LOS at the beginning of the scenario, it can lead an AFV to change its progression route and possibly expose itself to a flank shot
  • It is a nice HD position

There's an old army saying. "An obstacle isn't an OBSTACLE unless it's covered by fire. Otherwise, it's just something that's there to PO everyone." (The old German "60-minute roadblock" they would throw up in Germany once the Allies had crossed the Rhine.)

As for counters I don't want...

DM counters with the informational stuff on the back. DM counters with red/black chits on the back.

Okay, I actually have used both of these for their intended purpose at some point, but it's a rare case. Just don't need 'em. Would rather see something more useful on the back of DM, like DM-No Rout, or something else to denote broken units that have special properties during RtPh.

Even a DM-FUBAR counter would be more useful.
