Hi gents,
I am unsure after reading the fire rules. My opponent thinks no. I am not sure.
Thanks,
John

What I can’t figure out is why do we roll flames first and blazes second? We should roll blazes first, it saves time and worthless DRs and makes no difference that I can tell. Please disregard I reread 25.15 and see it now. Move along...nothing to see here.
That seems like a very sensible POV to me. Rolling for spread into locations that contain a flame prior to that AFPh that will become a blaze is pointless. reverse steps 5.31B and 5.32B and ensure that newly created blazes are not included in checking for further spread (via the pin mechanism used for newly created flames, perhaps). What I can’t figure out is why do we roll flames first and blazes second? We should roll blazes first, it saves time and worthless DRs and makes no difference that I can tell.
FWIW, that's precisely what I do to save time. What I can’t figure out is why do we roll flames first and blazes second? We should roll blazes first, it saves time and worthless DRs and makes no difference that I can tell.
When playing with Leaflet House Rule 7.What I can’t figure out is why do we roll flames first and blazes second? We should roll blazes first, it saves time and worthless DRs and makes no difference that I can tell.
But now you have PIN the new Blazes in order to remember they don't spread this turn.FWIW, that's precisely what I do to save time.
Correct. OTOH, you're supposed to pin new Flames, so no extra work really. But now you have PIN the new Blazes in order to remember they don't spread this turn.
For me it is easier to just work your way across the map working on Flame and Blaze. My little head doesn't have to remember more than 5 seconds of detail.
Other than to having remember the new Blaze won't spread until the next player turn, no. As for myself, it's one of the few "house rules" I institute with regularity. Can anybody think of one reason blazes should not be rolled before flame spread ?
