Someone mentioned that the chpt G rules are being rewritten for the Rising Sun module. Is this true? If so, are the rules actually being changed at all or just being written in clearer language?

The rules must be created to print. The original rules may be updated with the errata, as well as the font increased as per the new larger standard.

As far as changing any rules, or written in a 'clearer language', Chas may have na answer.

The Panji rules are not unclear... just grossly, needlessly, insanely complex for what ammounts to a sharp stick in the ground.

The Panji rules, like everything else in Chapter G, are not especially complex; they are verbose, which is quite a different matter.

Chapter G has been around for nearly twenty years and in all that time has generated maybe a dozen items of minor errata and Q&A. I see two possible reasons for this: no-one uses it, or the rules already explain 99% of what needs to be explained.

Personally I believe the latter is more likely.

Reading Chapter G is time-consuming and perhaps even onerous but, unlike say, Chapter E, you won't come away with a "I don't know what that means" feeling.

Good post. I think I have got to agree with your verdict here. It really is quite comprehensive. Gave you rep.

Perhaps players should work a little harder at coming up with "problems." :)
