This looks like it will be a great flick. It has a solid cast (James Purefoy, Paul Giamatti, Richard Attenborough, Robert Carlyle, Bob Hoskins, Pete Postlethwaite, Brian Cox, William Moseley, Jason Flemyng and Kate Mara). The plot:

A ragtag group of Knights Templar hold out for months against the hard-fought siege of Rochester Castle in the thirteenth Century. Set in the time of King John's signing of the Magna Carta treaty, the group struggles against the King to defend the freedom of their country."
The following teaser trailer is comprised of some early footage (don't get worried, there has been no post production efforts yet, so the film will look and sound better later on :)).

Looking forward to seeing this (Also Robin Hood when that gets in video stores)

For background reading check out the following:

The four book trilogy (hardly qualifies as a trilogy I guess) by Robert Costain regarding the monarchs of England from Billy the Conquerer to Richard III. The second book covers the time period of King John and his kid, Hank III. Costain has a great style of writing and the history just flows when reading his stuff.

Also Rachael Bard's "Queen Without a Conscious" is a great historical story written about Queen Isabella, King John's child bride. Great reading as well. The siege at Rochester doesn't get covered in the Bard book but it is highly recommended.

You've got to look forward to any movie whose subtitle is "Blood. Will. Run". :D

I am glad to see a movie finally treat the Templars as flesh and blood historical figures, and not as some sort of super-secret cult out of a comic book.
