I was setting up to play a scenario and both my and my opponent are seeing:
  • When he places a counter in a hex it appears to me down one hex and halfway to the right
  • When I place a counter it shows it wonky to him.
We confirmed:
  • We are running it on the same 6.6.2 version of VASL and VASSAL 3.5.8
  • We were able to view other scenarios and all was fine, so it seems like the alignment is off on the map itself
Ideas? What are we missing?

You are not using the same version of the map. Download it again from the LFT site.

We were having the same problem last weekend and it is because both people were using different versions but the counters wer off by over 1 1/2 hexes !

Maybe this is to align with the actual miss-cut counters?

Just received my Inor package in the mail on Monday and opened it up, and it looks as if the die-cutting of the counters are problematic. I tried emailing Xavier using his yahoo.fr email account, but haven't heard anything back. Is there another email address I should try instead of that one?

Thanks,
Alan

Unfortunately, they may all be like that. I believe LFT will be addressing this.

Sorry Alan, I haven't received any email from you.

On the bright side, we have updated LFT site in order to explain a little bit what we are doing right now as far as ths countersheets are concerned.

Here: https://lefranctireur.org/

If everything goes well, we will provide replacements in January or February.

Best,

X
