A question arose while playing J83 Bloody Nose when a Romanian 3-4-7 1st liner BHed to a 4-4-7 Elite. The unit went from no infantry smoke to an exponent of "1". So...does this now Elite unit get to "find" and use those missing smoke grenades? Thanks.

Yes, that's one way to look at it. Another is to think of it as someone getting brave enough to expose himself to fire in order to use a smoke grenade.

And another way to look at it is that it's an abstract game and thats what the rules say that happens...?
